Achy Breaky Heart (Double Triolet)

by Jenni Marie   Jul 22, 2008

Sitting home alone, staring at the phone
Tears constantly falling, oh how cliche
Pitiful thoughts now constantly roam
Sitting home alone, staring at the phone
Took my heart and left me cold as stone
Every day now just another murky grey
Sitting home alone, staring at the phone
Tears constantly falling, oh how cliche

How foolish of me to believe what you said
When we met, achy breaky went my heart
Was your only quest to get me into your bed?
How foolish of me to believe what you said
Everything you promised, then chose her instead
Did you derive pleasure from tearing me apart?
How foolish of me to believe what you said
When we met, achy breaky went my heart

Triolet-Consists of 8 lines. The 1st, 4th and 7th line repeat. The 2nd and 8th line repeat as well. The rhyme scheme is abaaabab
