Peace Like A River

Peace like a river,
soothing my tormented soul.
As soft as a feather,
You mended the gaping hole.

You guided my way,
with tender loving care.
Promises of love that will stay,
With no burden's to bear.

You've given me hope for tomorrow,
of joy, and happiness that will last.
No more agonizing pain or sorrow,
all that will be forgotten in the past.

All that was hidden deep inside,
you've taken from me.
For now you walk by my side,
and have set my soul free.

You pick me up when I fall,
and gently wipe away my tears.
You help me stand tall,
and face all my fears.

So My Lord,
Today I turn my life over to you,
Lead me where you may.
May I please you in what I do,
This Oh Lord, I pray.
