Orchid Lady, while we are apart please never think I don't love you
My flower, I love and need you more than the blood that flows through my veins
As my heart beats I know that every second beat is for you and my heart smiles
Whenever I breathe each breath I take is shared equally with my lady love.
Whenever the sun peeps through the clouds it seems to ask me if you are nearby
When the soft Savannah wind dances across the fields and valleys, it seeks to cool you
Should the rain clouds cry over the ground they do so to keep your forest flowers watered
Sweetheart, whenever a wandering tear flows down my face; that tear flows for my orchid.
On mornings when grey clouds or fog try to force their way upon our waking -
- the sun; the birds and the whispering wind sends the greyness and fog to find another land
Then the sun and blue skies look down upon you and invite you to join them in a happy day
As you smile and accept these gifts of Nature, the world sighs with relief and welcomes you.
Should we walk on the sandy beach when the sea be stormy and the waves' crash onto the shore
When you arrive the sea recognizes you and its raging waves' subside and your walk becomes peaceful
Seagulls and other birds hop beside you as if they know your heart is full of care and concern for them
With your hand in mine our heartbeats mingle together and I feel an excitement at walking beside you.
So you see my Orchid should we ever be parted for a minute; an hour or simply a short period of days
You will always be in my thoughts and my spirits remain alive with your love - my flower you are my life
No matter where I am asked to go in my travels; one certainty above all others you need to remember -
- I will leave no stone unturned to come home as there is nothing in life I need more than you.
