Lone Wolf Of Gray

by Crystal Fire   Jul 23, 2008

The gray wolf sings out her heart
Full of sorrow and rejection.
Her song of despair echoing off the
Mountain sides.
The poor wolf's heart has been broken
By the ones she loved and trusted.
She runs on through the forest,
With the moon as her guide and only friend.
Her loneliness pushes her on,
Farther away from the only home she has
Ever known.
Running faster and harder than she
Has before, putting distance between her
And the aching silence.
The distance is only a void
Taking place of the hole in her heart
Where the pack used to stay.
Still harder do her paws beat the ground and
More does the loneliness grow.
The blue moon shines her way.
