Her pain

She hides all the pain inside
no one would ever guess
everything she has been through
has turned her life into a mess

she writes to get it out
wanting to tell someone her pain
but every time she tried
none of her secrets came

her life is misconstrued
she plays it off well
they wouldn't know how much she hurts

her green eyes hide the scars
the scars from her past
