Me and my friend got in a fight at recess,
You were there to help us out.
Someone stole my lunch money,

Mom and dad were arguing again last night,
You came in and told me everything was going to be OK
Bessie dies that morning,
You helped me bary her in the backyard

Buger got out of his cage again.

The teacher gave us hard homework,

There was a storm last night and I couldn't sleep,
You stayed awake till I fell asleep.

I was sick for over 2 months, In the hospital,
You came in everyday to see how i was.
They put a needle in my back,
Even though didn't like the sight of blood, You held my hand through the pain.
You moved an hour away,
But you still call to see how were all doing.

All these things may seem like nothing to you,
But to me their everything.
Growing up you've been more of a dad to me,
Then my birth dad.
