Sounds Of The Night

by Irene   Jul 23, 2008

The sounds of the night were soothing.
But fear overwhelmed me as the shadows were moving.
I close my eyes so that I may run away from my fears,
a clear substance fills my eyes, my tears.
The only thing shining is the moonlight,
which brightens up the dark night.
A cool breeze blew across my closed eyelid,
underneath my fear, I hid.
With me breathing hard, the voice knew I was scared,
"it's ok baby, it's just me...", it sounded like it cared.
"How can I be so sure that it is really you?"
Then it happened, he kissed me passionately.
"S'agapo agapimou', his words flew.
As soon as he did that, I knew I was the happiest I could be!
He was really there, next to me,
handsome and masculine was he.
In his arms I lay in the night,
looking at his beautiful face in the moonlight.
Suddenly the night was my friend,
another baby, God will send.

S'agapo agapimou = i love you my love (in Greek)
