Forgetful Souls

We are all caged animals
Forced to live in an environment that
That we created in order to forget
Our natural way of living

We live among walls
Just like captured beasts
In which we go to visit
Only to amuse ourselves

Not knowing that when we look
At them, its a reflection of
Our true nature and not some
Fairytale we chose to create

We laugh and point fun
At the beasts to make us feel
As though we are more powerful
But in reality, we're not

Some of us hate captivity
Because it reminds them
Of how our life is now
And not how it should be

Think about it more
And you'll know what
I am trying to
