Starting Over

Hopeful, and yet still so scared
as I lay my heart out for you to see
with no disguises, completely bared
all that you see is entirely me

I wont hide behind a false mask
or make you dry my tears
the truth from you is all I ask
just to chase away my fears

I hope you can understand why
I've been acting the way I do

to help me see this through...
