Um... no, that's not the idea I was portraying in the poem. I had suffered from depression before and it took over my life and when I stopped being depressed it was like a friend who had hurt me died. I'm getting depressed again so that old friend of mine is coming back. That's what the poem is about. |

Wow, this was chilling! that last stanza was amazing, it was so creepy, and just makes me think of a rotting corpse smelling my neck, that was very good. i also love the last line, i think it's a good way to end the poem. this is more creepy than sad but it also has a very sad feel to it, the emotion in this is extremely strong and as i said before, it makes you feel part of the poem. similarly, the vocabulary you used in here was great, it really added to the effect of the poem, and your use of words helped again in getting your point across. |

This one was really really beautiful. It had a message that reached out and touched me through the entire piece. Going through depression again can be very painful, I really enjoyed how you made it seem as if you were greeting an old companion instead of a simple feeling. Really inspiring, 5/5 |
Very well written personification of depression |

Hmm.. honeslty, i hadn't realized the old friend u're talking abt is depression... I was worried u had a really horrible friend... But when i re-read it after i came to know made it clearer... :) |
I understood that your poem was about depression and how this feeling is coming back and taking over again. Depression is never an easy thing to get rid of, it takes time, days, months, maybe even a year but it goes away. Stay positive. Look to someone who makes you happy and will listen and help you when you call or need them. Look for something to do, something that makes you happy. Writing or hanging with friends. |
