The world has invested heavily in war, falsehood, and masquerade...

Each of us be prepared, blue skies will soon cascade snakes and worms aiming for our death...

I love short forms of poetry...usually they are more illustrative than those of thousand sweet words..

    Tom,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your opinion on Haikus. They can be tricky to master and I fear that I may never manage that. I can also appreciate how a person could almost view such a short form as almost a cheat, a lame attempt at poetry. I must confess I feel the same myself at times.
Secondly, I would like to comment on your, dare I say, delightful Haiku. I found it both clever (rhyming a non-rhyme form) and humorous too. Most people find the strict form a challenge, and so rhyming with it too is almost a mockery of it. I like your style!

    Thanks again.
