Beautiful Mystery

by Jessica   Jul 25, 2008

Once beating and strong, lays silent and cold
surrounded in granite, eyes liquid and gold

Smoldering down at the usual prey
but locked in a stare where thoughts only sway

Beyond the exterior they soar through his mind
but withheld from all voices, it's hers he can't find

A wall of protection with nothing to see
unable to access or find the right key.

** Based on Twilight novel by Stephenie Meyer.
