7/25 A Day Of Sadness

Today was your birthday.
so to celebrate I do the usual.
I eat the traditional pepperoni pizza.

Your birthday always makes me sad.
Because it reminds me that you are gone.
And living in heaven with god.

Cousin Jeremy why?
Why did you have to take your life?
And leave all your family behind to cry.

Even though it was so long ago.
And Even though I was just a baby and don't remember.
It still hurts to think about it.

It still hurts to think,
That you and i will never get to hang out.
Or be as close as we were when you were alive.

So today is a day of sadness.
And it always will be.
R.I.P cousin Jeremy.

(This poem is dedicated to my cousin Jeremy whom i hardly remember but still love and miss a lot.)

    Awww..im sorry..my cousin died from a motorcycle accident..so i didnt really get to no him or hang out with him..so i no how u feel..but good poem..5/5

    ack.. i 've got a tradition with someone like that.. even though the other isnt.. just seems right to continu.

    i thought leaves the reader curious.. for the word - take-.. leaves him wondering the meaning behind..

    very touching poem.. its always good to right about those we've lost, and love.
