GLASSY

by Kevin   Jun 3, 2004

I let the curtains breathe
as the ceiling ripples
and the carpet
some living thing surely
fidgets underfoot

on this knife edge of reality
my perception
in stillness
is that nothing is still
even the walls swell with purpose

atomic yet comic
that I thought the deal was real
as I pulse with all around me
I swallow the conclusion

the world is great
a liquid state
my own well planned illusion
