Oh how things changed

It seems like just yesterday
we enjoyed life
we had fun
we made each other laugh
we told each other everything
secrets did not exist
drama was never a problem
things were perfect

then one morning i woke up
we were all depressed
life had lost its charm
our laughter was stiff, and forced
secrets and drama were everywhere
perfection was just us using that little thing called imagination.

as my best friends dissapeared
my razor blade took their place

the happiest people i knew
where now asking me about suicide.
how could i encourage them
when the thought had crossed my mind many times?

depression ate us all up from the inside out.
and our happy memories were just that--memories

you almost made me laugh when you muttered,
"You gotta love highschool..."
