Wolf Mate

Wolf Mate

Listen to this howl fly across this grand divide
with only your voice and solitude as my guide,
I could spend eternity here and not be satisfied
till the burning of your kiss on my lips arrives.

Alone I will wait. I will cry.
as centuries of oceans pass me by,
as I dig my heels into the dirt
and for the chance to cease the hurt
You carry within your breast, my cure.

Bodies of love trapped in time
You speak to me in sweet rhymes
Oh how these words caress my thighs
These words i feel might keep me alive.
So let me follow the trail of blood
Till nothing stands between us
And you tear down walls I let no one through...
Into the night. Into me. Into the moon.

Oh, and to forget our companion Sadness!
Forget the forces outside our control!
With every kiss, destroy what ruined us...
Never wake from this dream, only ask for more.
Make what was once tainted once again pure.

And brave thrusts, oh the unyielding lust...
but that is a whole adventure within itself.

After the waves of our sea calm
no difference between paws and palm
I spread myself across a branch
where bats and raccoons meekly laugh
And look down at the disheveled leaves
of our bedchamber that sufficiently heaves
And look up at your face in the moon
and close my eyes peacefully in swoon
Wanting to stay in your forgiving gaze forever...
To be your only mate, to be your fierce lover.

Oh my... shivers constantly ran down my back as I read this! This may be the best poem you've ever written, dear. :) I was speechless at first after I read it...
    You. Are. Amazing. ;)
