A long night

by McMuffin   Jul 26, 2008

The night is long but it's far from over,
Wish I could find a 4 leaf clover,
Hoping it would give me enough luck to see you
Everything reminds me of you even the music to

It's another late night as I think of us
Wish I could come see you by train or bus
Were so far away and so close by heart
I couldn't bear to be any farther apart

My heart is sunk to the deepest of seas
The darkness brings me down to my knees
As the high tides engulf my mind
They make my life so very unkind

As my time is spent as miserably as this
I long for your ever lasting kiss
Though we may be far from near
In a way we hold each other so dear

So many promises have been made
So many things must be delayed
Why must this burden lay upon me
Am I not important enough for thee

I guess the answer must be of course no
I guess a future is lost and we shall never know
But wait yes there is still hope at last
I won't let it end like it did in the past

I promised to be the one and I can not lie
If I were to lie to you I will surely die
I can not die for you because that would be bad
I'll love you and give you a life you never had

They can be mad, crabby, and jealous all they want
They are just jealous because I didn't give in to their taunt
They can't be happy for me so I tell them to go to hell
If I never see them again all I'll say is darn oh well

I'll do what I can and do what I must
What ever it takes to keep your trust
You're a very special girl and very close to me
I love you so much I want the whole world to see

Your beautiful inside and out.
