If only I could

If I could open my mind,

Let you see from my sight

And bare my soul...

Then you would know.

If I could pull out my heart,

Let it fall to your feet

And show it's beat...

Then you would see.

If I could shout it from the sky,

Let it come from up high

And caress your ear...

Then you would hear.

If I could give you my trust,

Let you hold it in your hand

And know it's real...

Then you would feel.

If I could tell you the truth,

Let all my defenses loose

And admit my errors...

Then you would care.

If I could think of a rhyme,

Let my true feelings shine

And capture the divine...

Then you would be mine.
