Shattered reflection

by Sheep   Jul 28, 2008

Open the door
and what do you see?
a silent girl
among debris

their she sits
lips sealed tight
trying hard
with all her might

no more screams
will escape
her body left
in such poor shape

at her feet
a broken mirror
a shattered reflection
couldn't be clearer

what she saw
a twisted face
with broken tears
and ripped up lace

a body flawed
with mismatched parts
a bleeding mess
in place of a heart

the chaos round
was a brawl she lost
that damn mirror
she did toss

so open the door
and what do you see?
a broken girl
that girl is me.
