Butterfiles

The sun is setting again
And once more it's time to say goodbye
Trying so hard not to let my heart win.
Feelings for you I no longer want to deny.

This season is playing tricks on us
The warmth is making our hearts run wild.
We are basking in our innocence
Your sweet words have got me feeling, beguiled

Squeezing my hands tightly
You whisked my hair away from my face
Pressing your lips against mine,
My mind was in such a race.

You said, "Don't utter those words.
It isn't goodbye.
It's, I will see you later
In another place and time."

And when you hugged me longingly
I believed and knew all you said was true
Not wanting to let you go
I knew what I had to do.

I remember your eyes gave the sincerity
In which I cannot forget.
So it seems you are my missing puzzle piece
We fit from the very moment that we met.

I will see you later
In another place and time
When I will find true happiness
Within your arms will be complete sublime
