Lies Sewn into my Heart

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Jul 29, 2008

Your name is sewn into my heart.
Nothing tears the stitches apart.
Though it may tatter and it may fray
you'll fix it by the end of the day.

Put the thread through the needle's eye
as you mend my heart with a lie.
Nothing's better for me to you
than to be a person you lie to.

I'm not someone who will heal
if you tell me what isn't real.
I see through the joke you give
and it tears apart the life I live.

So take your thread and go away
and leave these scars here to stay.
You won't help if you falsify
so to you I say goodbye.

The whole poem was very sad.. you have this person's named sewed in your heart and now the scars are all that resides. :\ What a sad write.. but yet again you managed to put together a piece filled with emotions and a great rhyme/flow. :] Keep it up! 5/5
