My Jewel

by Ray Smallshaw   Jul 29, 2008

Unhappy you appear to be,
Nevertheless, I want you to know what you mean to me,

You are fierier than an unblemished Diamond,
More mysterious than a Smokey Topaz,

More beautiful than a clear blue Sapphire,

Much warmer than a bright red Ruby,

More stirring than a deep green Emerald,

More rarer than a giant Pearl,

Although at times uncaring, I may seem,

You will always be my one and only dream,

More precious than life,

My gem of a Wife.

Though not a fan of this style I think this write conveyed your message well to the intended.
