Our Symphony

by Heidi   Jul 30, 2008

I wrote a musical piece. With a piano, a guitar and a symphony. And it was like three hours long. It kind of told a story. There were like 10, 000 people watching. I knew everyone. But at the end nobody liked it. Except for you. You were the only person standing and clapping. Everyone else just sat there. Your face was the only face I could see.

I sat down on my stool,
With my guitar in my hand.
I had the mic at my lips,
The piano and the music stand.

I couldn't help but play,
For three hours long.
I wanted to tell you my story,
About how my love for you is so strong.

I wanted a crowd of ten thousand people,
To understand how much I love you.
I wanted them to listen to me,
To realize, there is nobody like us two.

When I was finished my piece,
I waited for the sound.
Everyone was silent, except for one,
You were the only one standing in the crowd.

I looked to where that sound was coming from,
And all I could see was your face.
You were the only one standing,
As I walked to wards your space.

I grabbed you in my arms,
And I held you very tight.
You promised me forever,
And I thanked you for the night.

He wrote that to me. It was a dream he had that night. I decided to write a piece on it.
