This time imperfect

by MorbidCupcake   Jul 30, 2008

You broke through the surface of me
Telling me little lies until I could breathe
But now you realize that I can't be perfect
I make mistakes because I'm only human
And you make mistakes that you swear aren't there
Because everything you do must be magical but believable
You'e too perfect to be real but you live here just the same
A mirror image within reality that you say doesn't change
But you've changed, oh you've changed
You walked away and left me alone, playing another one of your games
And you say only I've changed...well I've been the same
You couldn't handle my imperfection
It only corrupted all your perfect words that filled my head with love and happiness
Inside reality I'm the mirror image of me
But it's always been too far from perfect for you to ever keep
