Appraise me,
What am I worth?
Who's to say,
You who doesn't know me?
The outside world,
The sick and twisted outside world,
Drowning in selfish propaganda,
Stewing in unfulfilled dreams.
The one who sees only with their eye,
What pleases their palate,
And tempts their subconscious yearning,
Idealistic wanderers.
Those who know,
Who have wandered the twisted roads of my soul,
Dove into the darkest waters of my being,
Those who have embraced me,
Me,
Mother, daughter, sister, lover, friend.
Some sacred creator,
A divine defector,
Our deity of sweet abandonment,
Is this my judge?
Humanity my jury,
Wading in the polluted pool,
Superficial persuasion,
Draped in heartfelt reprehension.
Oh sweet hypocrisy,
How much are you worth?
Caressing the lips of every judgment,
Embracing the shadow of every ego.
Let my worth be known in every life I touch,
Every seed I sow,
In every soul I warm,
Those selfless moments where hope flourished,
And love flowed like beams of light,
Giving life to compassion.
