The Wind

by H E Losey   Jul 30, 2008

The wind blowing softly
upon the night skies
Gently pushes the feathery
clouds past the moon beams
Hiding, peeking, the lover
searches with teary eyes
To find that one bright star
to wish upon for a dream

A different wafting breeze
caresses the same sky
And slowly clouds reveal
the moon and a star
Another lover, weeping, tries
to focus weary eyes
And send a wish to join
with the other, from afar

I agree with the other commenter. It does not read very well. It is almost very visual for me, but I needed a little bit more.
