A Short Week's Love

by Soulful Ensemble   Jul 30, 2008

In a short week's love I learned again
How to cry about someone else.
In a short week's love I even dared
To love more and more with every day.

And now I'm here just like before
Thinking I knew who cared.
I was confused once more
With every thing I dared.

But in a short week's love I learned
To find somebody's heart better than mine.
And In a short week's love I yearned
To never let go of what I earned.

And this love will stay with me
It can never die.
No matter who comes between us
And even through my cries.

In a short week's love I learned to die
And saw death coming ahead, not asking why.
In a short week's love I learned
That a short week's love can never end.

This is about a girl that I dated for one week. We went our separate ways because it was too bizarre for her to be with me. We had been friends for 5 years. We couldn't move past thinking each other as friends.
