Just For You

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 30, 2008

Thoughts of you cover my tired and weary mind,
As I reminisce the joyful moments we had together.
Wise words, faithful promises, heartfelt sympathy,
The presence of Christ always glowed in your heart.

Flashbacks of the past appear suddenly in my head,
I try to cherish those wonderful times and memories.
But the pain never fades or dies away one bit,
For your unexpected death was so heartbreaking.

You lived thousands of miles away from me,
But that didn't destroy the bond we shared.
I just wish I could have said one final goodbye,
And let you know once again, how much I love you.

What an impact you had on my way of seeing things,
You helped me greatly appreciate what was around me.
Whenever I think of your loving heart and kindness,
I shed a tear, wishing you wouldn't have gone away.

Yet there will never be a single minute that passes by,
Where you'll become just a distant forgotten memory.
You were a real remarkable saint to me and all others,
And a special place in my heart is saved, just for you.
