My Savior

by julie   Jun 3, 2004

When I collapse under the weight of the world & joy is far behind,
you are the light at the end of the tunnel that I always can find.
When cold freezes my blood, and all my mind can do is despair,
you are the glowing fire. That all my wounds it can repair.
When the way forward is enshrouded by my hurt, endless and severe,
you are the gentle voice that makes my troubles disappear.
When greed and jealousy fester within me,
you are my savior with the will to set me free.
My bestest friend, my shining ray of light,
you make everything in my life feel alright.
More precious to me than a beautiful pearl,
but don’t worry Daddy, because I will always be your little girl.
