Southern Comfort

Southern Comfort

Winding trails of black ribbon
Gazing out over the tops of trees
History covers the landscape
Legends upon the breeze

Southern winds along the sea
Soothe the minds regrets
Coastal mist cleanse the heart
Sins that time forgets

Mountain memories,childhood play
Morning glories fragrant show
Beautiful scenes deep inside
Visions through which we grow

Feel the freedom as seagulls soar
Close your eyes release the pain
Walk barefoot on mossy floor
A rainbow follows rain

    What a wonderful peaceful poem.

    Mountain memories,childhood play
    Morning glories fragrant show
    Beautiful scenes deep inside
    Visions through which we grow

The imagery in this piece is awesome...I can imagine being right there in my mind.

Feel the freedom as seagulls soar
Close your eyes release the pain
    Walk barefoot on mossy floor
    A rainbow follows rain

I can almost smell the air after a rain and feel the cool moss on my feet.

    Great job!
    Love Cindy
