Oh, sweet tongue

by StandStill   Jul 30, 2008

Blood and bile, oh so sweet;
dance my tongue, oh dance.
Twist around behind plastic smiles.
Belief in you? Ha! Not a chance.

Oh, bitter you taste now, sweet lips;
poisoned by memories and caffiene.
Chocolate hopes and candy canes
spell out what this world means.

World is dizzy, slippery, wet.
Numb rain falls down far too slow.
Watch the puddles shrink and die;
watch the false-hopes jump and grow.

Tears taste like lead, as food turns to ash;
lemonade on this summer day.
Dandelion's and too-sweet drinks...
cover my ears; close my eyes; make it go away.
