He Stood His Ground Supine

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Jul 31, 2008

Although his motives were malign
I can't bring myself to decline.
The relationship I can't resign,
but it's far too messed up to refine.
When is it crossing the line?
I need direction; a sign.
I've heard rumors through the grape vine
saying he's calling his what's mine.
I can't act like every thing's fine,
even though I don't wish to entwine.
There's simply no way to realign
back to when everything was fine.

----------------------

This poem is about a girl who can't seem to find a way out of a relationship because the guy has complete control of everything. Money and all.

Supine: Offering no resistance

Malign: Evil or harmful in nature or influence.

Refine: To improve.

Entwine: To come together.

Realign: To make things on the right track once more.

Those are the basics that some of you may not know. The rest you can look up.

What a interesting write. The description at the end was helpful and helped the reader understand the poem more. It's kind of sad when someone controls the relationship more than the other person. It definatly does happen though in life sometimes. Great piece here though. I loved how you put the word bank at the bottom, that seems to be very helpful at times. Great job, keep writing to impress me. :] 5/5
