I'll Always Love You

The first day we met you looked into my eyes. You said, " Wow what a pretty face ... a pretty smile"

I could never explain how I felt that day. It was love at first sight, because you instantly took my breath away!

We fell in love fast, we were always rushed. You never took the time to just show me your love.

I loved you so much. I just don't understand, how you could twist through my heart with the palm of your hand.

I knew about her for quite a long while, But all I ever did was stand back and smile.

I thought you would change, but instead it got worse.

You told me you loved me, but i could see through your lies. A small part inside me was slowly going to die.

You hurt me so much and I'll never be the same, everywhere I go I always hear your name.

Now whenever I see you, I stand back and smile. Because I know I'm better off with just me and not you, and I hope you understand that I will always still love you.

(This is the first poem I've ever written so it's probably not very good ... sorry!)
