The World is Flat ((so clearly, physics cannot work))

by StandStill   Jul 31, 2008

This world is so flat,
Compressed between the edges of heaven and hell.
The weight of gravity pushing down
Upon the pancake people of tomorrow.

And every word adds to the weight,
Softly sighing as it falls, shattering upon deaf ears.
Twisting, shimmering mirages of reality
Slipping between the fingers of dreamers.

Every day we reach out,
So desperate for a Something in this land of Nothing;
Ashes turn to ashes as dust flows away;
We fall into the grey dawn of December.
