Mile Markers and Midnight Misery

by StandStill   Jul 31, 2008

She's cryin' in her sleep,
and it's keeping me awake.
A thousand million miles away,
but space and time feel fake.

I can feel every moonlit tear
as it streams across her face.
She's laying there, and I am here..
God, I feel so out of place.

I don't have the words to whisper to her,
I don't have the magic key.
She's amazing and she's broken..
God knows, I'm just me.

So she's cryin' in her sleep,
and I just have to sit and wait.
No sleep for me tonight..not now...
God, space and time feel fake..
