Jaded Lovelys

by Lady Nik   Jul 31, 2008

Kiss me, lovely
He once said.
Beautiful now ugly
Stitched up with death.

Younger lover
He became.
Once untouched
With lust, he's stained.

Tender longing
He once needed.
Broken trust
Now she's leaving.

Nasty struggles
He now has
Tasty promises
But she won't take him back.

Horrible dreams
Have taken place.
Without her love
He pretends to be okay.

Cold lonely nights
Way too often
His internal fight
Will take him to his coffin.

I love you, dearly
He once said.
Jaded lovely
Cheating was his death.

This poem is very well done, and I can honestly say that. I really don't think you would have to change anything about it unless you find yourself that you might want to, because I was able to read through it with ease and the meanings was clearly simplistic to grasp onto. The style you wrote it in made it fun for me to read as it reminded me of a poem I wrote many years ago though I do not have it posted on here. I enjoyed reading this poem. Excellent work.
