Simple facts

As I went about my walk today my mind was captivated by a lovely sound
I turned a bend and came upon a river singing its way down to the sea -
- of course it wasn't exactly singing but the sounds it made as it flowed -
- echoed a soothing music as it splashed amongst rocks and large stones.

This unbelievable sound made me realise how wonderful life really is -
- to remain distant from the many daily cruelties people can read and listen to -
- there lives a world of beauty and wonder asking for nothing more than an occasional visit
Orchid Lady, each time you hold my hand and walk to the forest with me; it comes alive.

I feel sure each time you stop to admire a flower, a bush; animal or tree they smile at you
There is goodness in you that is recognised by Nature and the forest always dresses its best
That little bird that flies up to you and sits on your shoulder remembers how you cared for it
My flower, you don't have to be Royalty or have great importance to be a "Someone."

There are times when I question myself about worth and its affect on my life -
- thoughts of you flood into my mind; then worth becomes paramount within my thinking
Not only of achievements you have mastered, but perhaps of the little things I see go unrecognized
Perhaps as I stand here listening to the river it just may be singing of your love of Nature.

This morning you are unable to walk with me so my next stop will be to our little wishing well
My wish today will be the same I have requested every single time I have stood beside this wonder
Unknown to you I ask for your health to improve and real happiness to flood back into your life -
- the same happiness and love you show to the forest and animals - all who grow and live for you.

Before I return home I shall stand on the wooden bridge and sense you standing beside me
I wonder if the river will talk to me again as it dances underneath the bridge on its way to the sea?
You see my orchid; it is the little things in life that carry as much or more meaning than stuffy grandeur
The best thing is: I am coming home to wait for you then feel so rewarded when you walk through the door.
