She was Daddy's little girl

by ~Someone~   Aug 1, 2008

She was Daddy's little girl,
But now she knows she is no more.
She misses their laughter together,
When he use to lift her up and spin around.
She remembers when he would leave,
She asked him not to go,
He said he had to.
Sitting at her window she would wait.
When her daddy arrived back home,
A huge smile would be painted on her small innocent face.
She would run up to him as fast as she her little legs could,
Yelling "daddy you're home!"
Leaping into his giant open arms,
Where they would share a heart warming embrace.
She misses the old days,
When her daddy tells her that he loves her.
Her daddy has changed,
With his loud voice he yells.
He hurts her feelings,
Makes her cry.
Calls her names,
That make her want to die.
Her daddy has really changed,
He smokes,
He drinks,
He even did drugs.
Her family is slowly falling apart.
Sometimes,
Her daddy even hits her.
Not knowing what she did wrong,
She didn't dare ask why.
She would just sit in her room and cry.
Daddy would leave for hours and not come back.
He would steal mommy's money,
And lie about it.
She loves her daddy,
She wants him to change back.
She doesn't know how much more she can take.
She can't deal with this much longer.
She wants her daddy back,
But she knows that will never happen.
He doesn't see how much she really needs him.
All she can do now is pray,
Pray that he will come back to her one day.
