Mother time

by Nicko   Aug 1, 2008

She steals those most near and dear
She steals without a care
She steals my very breath
Watching waiting always there
Knowing you won't show your face
Never to stand still
Oh you tease us all
Tempt when we are so young
lie to us, then tell us it's too late
Ha, we're over the hill
As the desert sands blow past your door
Rusty bones they come and go
Just a blur
But still you promise so much
Knowing you will deliver
Be it my eye sockets empty
And I smile,
Isn't it ironic
That you don't even exist

I have always envied poets that can mke a freeverse poem flow like this. The theme and word choice is also most worthy
