The Ancient Battle

by Indian Comma Bean   Aug 1, 2008

Chained by law, creativity stands,
Weeping to antagonizing eyes.
The light has shined down,
Yet only the darkness can see.

Darkness prevails in the absence of originality.

The ideas have awoken; Here to spread,
But soon they are to cease.
The light bulb now burnt out,
And the ladder lay broken.

Darkness prevails in the absence of freedom.

Propaganda, our leader now content,
As his presence is felt in every mind.
For there is no escape for those
Who choose to be morally blind.

Yet light prevails in the mind of free spirit.
