Grant if there is one thing I have learned about your writing is to never expect to have the faintest idea of each journey's destination.

I have learned so well I am only along for the ride, so sit back and enjoy.
and a fantastic ride it is 5/5+tax.....Jim

    Grant,

I like this piece, its theme is refreshingly different for this site. The theme could be interpreted on two levels at least. The obvious one, the legendary Behemoth, such power and fury, but at the same time a magnificence that creates awe in the hearts of its enemies. You describe taming the beast, indeed riding it, using its power as your own.

On the other hand this furious beast could be a metaphor to a demon that we all have inside each and every one of us. Coming to terms with our inner demons is perhaps the biggest battles any of us ever have to fight, but if we succeed, we then have learned to harness its power, like the Behemoth, we become stronger with its alliance.

    Well done

Umm...... Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this poem is about your bike.......:)....... I think you and your bike are one. You do seem to love the rides. Very smart write; more or less a tribute?? Nice!! Loved how you describe a machine so well (hee hee). I couldn't have guessed if not for the last stanza. You mentioning "chrome" gave it away!!!
