Her Eyes

by TorturedTourniquet   Aug 3, 2008

Take it away.
Make them stop.
Her eyes.
They're so full of life.
But they show pain at times.
They betray what they've done.
They tell me when something's happened.
But they're beautiful.
Her eyes draw me in.
Open, closed, it doesn't matter.
They're just as beautiful if they're hidden.
I love her eyes.
More than I can show.
The window to the soul, they say.
Hers show it so well.
She can hide her pain in her face.
But her eyes show it.
They show it all.

Although written in simple form, this poem is sensually deep.
I like the way you have managed to produce a sinister effect, in order to enhance your feelings, aswell as a romantic one.
    good job.
