Losing You Tonight

by Rachel   Aug 3, 2008

I stay up each night
staring at my clock
its just another night, another fight
as you begin to walk

The words I scream at you
make no difference at all
this is what you always do
put up another wall

You ask me why I'm crying
but shouldn't this be clear?
I'm afraid that you'll stop trying
that I'm not worth a tear

You never used to doubt
we didn't really fight
now all we do is shout
this is just another night

But the question I'm asking
is what is this for
is love ever lasting
or is there something more?

If it's worth all the struggle
then no doubt, I'm in
but if it's our happiness I juggle
then I want you to win

Cause whats worse than my pain
and losing my sleep
is knowing I've caused this drain
in a love that runs deep

And I know you're worth the tears
and ever single fight
cause what's worse than all my fears
is loosing you tonight

This is quite a sad sort of poem, but nevertheless does a great job at grabbing the good bits and shaping the words to suit the form.
    nicely done.
