Today I listened to a lovely song about a person dreaming of a Rainbow -
- and wondered if by some magic that if you ever had to leave me -
- by simply climbing that rainbow; my steps would lead me to you?
Orchid Lady, as I descended that colourful ark, I would see you standing waiting for me.
I walked to the Wishing Well and stood there for a few moments thinking of you
Then my hand sought my pocket and I tossed a golden coin into its murky depths
I seemed to hear a faint voice call to me requesting my dream be spoken into the well
With a loving sigh I lowered my head and wished to be always by your side.
As I stood there in a loving silence I am sure I heard the singing of Angels whispering my thoughts
The wishing well's little green frog hopped up to me and sat there as if to croak the granting of my wish
A sudden warmth danced into my body and I felt you standing close beside me as your hand held mine
It was then I knew my most important wish had been received into the heart of the spirit of the future.
A soft wind invited me to walk into the forest where your furry friends would be waiting for me to arrive
Never before had I ever witnessed such a sight, yet today I had been given the privilege to see them -
- and there they were; gathered together - so too were the flowers and those mighty green trees
At last I was able to stand together with Nature's children that had accepted me as they accepted you.
The sun cast its golden beams throughout the forest and I knew that our futures' would be happy
This was our magical place; a wooded paradise set aside for you and me to wander through each day
With a smile I waved my hand and set off to walk home to you and the warmth of the fire -
- you see my Orchid, above all else - my paradise is to be with the love that captured my heart.
