The Times I Still Cry

by Emma   Aug 6, 2008

You took me by surprise.
I saw you on Facebook.
Your grey-blue eyes
Giving me that look.
50,000 people joined
And you were the first one.
My heart skipped a beat.
I stopped having fun.

It's little things like that
That catch me unaware.
That make my eyes fill with tears
And remind me I still care.
Just stupid things like smoking Mayfair
And getting upset because that's your brand.
But I can't help it, it's just like
Holding a piece of you in my hand.

So no one buy me Mayfair.
No one drive a Mazda car.
Nobody can have blond hair.
No one work behind a bar.
No one can like Top Gun
Or sing it on karaoke.
Nobody go ice-skating.
Because it all upsets me.

I wish I could forget you.
I wish you'd remember me.
I wish I meant more to you
Because you don't seem to see
That you were my first love
And so you mean so much.
I never knew I could love
Until I felt your touch.
