If I Never See Your Face Again

by Avrii Monrielle   Aug 6, 2008

If I never see
Your face again,
Don't remind me of
Our days back then.

Don't tell me that
You will miss me;
Our prolonged joy
Can never be.

I know that times
Of yesterday
Are lost and hidden
Far away.

Tomorrow's joys
Won't play a part
In how I feel
Without my heart.

Why must you leave?
Where will you go?
I doubt that I
Will ever know.

Our in-sync walks
And innocent laughs
Might just outlive
The aftermath.

The inside jokes
And secret shame
Will stay, though we
Won't be the same.

If I never see
Your face again,
I doubt I will
Forget you, friend.

Aww, wow, such a cute poem, so much meaning and depth, it reall felt like it came from your heart. The poem didn't start so amazingly, but just got better and better, and the last stanza was superb. I loved this poem, so, so much. Great work.
