Wish

Some people wish for love,
Some people wish for joy.
But what I've learned from life itself,
Is that wishes wont take you far.

A wish s a secret hope,
But under it all you know it wont happen.
And when you watch your wish fail,
You'll see the truth.

No matter how much you want it to,
A wish wont just happen.
You have to work hard to get it,
Or don't expect them to happen at all.

But when you work hard,
And your wish does come true.
It feels like ice cream on a hot day,
Or love that'll ever go away.
