Seasons upon us...

by Daisy Wells   Aug 6, 2008

Flowers in full bloom, says again spring is here
We make our resolutions, for a better new year
Book our summer holidays, wait for the easter break
Spend the days chilling out, feeding ducks by a lake

The summers nearly over, and barely a hint of sunshine
No more barbeque's of an eve, no more pegging the washing on the line
Gone are warm filled mornings, or bathing in the sun
Rain is on the horizon, you hope Halloween will bring some fun

Autumn is upon us and the skies turn Grey
Leaves falling from the trees, short and darker are the days
Wellies out in fashion, splashed by puddles as cars past
Waiting for the snow, excited Christmas is here at last

Winter sees us snuggled up in our cosy beds
Coats, scarves and bobble hats covering your heads
Wrapping up presents to hide under the Christmas tree
Wishing for someone special to spend the festivities with me
