One Hundred Days or So

by dandy   Aug 6, 2008

I'd rather kiss you in the rain all day
than dance alone in the sun.
Two people born separately,
two souls longing to be one.

The battle rages on, it seems,
there will never come an end.
But through the smoke and saddened words
my love to you I send.

On my own again today
this familiar feeling nears.
An emptiness now fills this space
as contentment disappears.

One hundred days or so
until my arms envelope you.
One hundred days or so...
these hours can't pass too soon.

I'd rather kiss you in the rain today
than dance alone in the sun.
One hundred days or so until
two hearts once again become one.
