Ship in a Bottle

by StandStill   Aug 6, 2008

Sail me a ship in this bottle blue,
where the world rocks on lovely waves.
Twirl me about in this stormy mess,
rock back and forth on this perfect hurricane.

Dip and sway so gently;
moved, used, and abused.
It doesn't hurt; no, not a bit...
it's just that all of me is bruised.

Mimic with my eyes this hurricane,
kodak moments on a sinking ship.
Silent days in watery graves,
watch as we take our final dip.

Pull the curtains, it's been a show;
the ship is sunk and the day is done.
Hurricane blows in this bottle I hold;
glass shimmers in the light of the sinking sun.

"I swear I didn't mean for it to be like this;
like every inch of me is bruised, bruised.."
